I've been enjoying every bit of this 3 day weekend. It's going way too fast!
I found out today that a really sweet couple I know are doing an incredibly generous thing for a mutual friend. Our friend is recently divorced and her credit was ruined by her ex, her house is about to be foreclosed, her entry level job doesn't pay much, and she is struggling to secure a rental home. This couple bought a house for her to rent at a price she can afford and is going to teach her to repair her credit and organize her finances. In the future they stand to make some money on the deal, but the immediate 3 years they are simply helping her get back on her feet. Their generosity really warms my heart.
I'm grateful to know people who are willing to humbly offer their gifts to others in all sorts of creative ways - just like the recovering alcoholics who showed me how to get back to my life after I stopped drinking. I hope my HP will continue to point me in the direction to make a difference.
