Life Aquatic was awesome. Remember Bill Murray doing that subtle little dance in his wet suit? And I love it when Willem Defoe gets all sulky - hilarious. And that scene at the end when they find the fish....he gets the most incredible poignancy amidst the humour, eh? I loved Ben Stiller in the Tannenbaums. When he says simply at the end to his father "It's been a tough year, Dad". Sob. Remember the Dad saying "Let's 'swing by'...." the grave?! So funny. He really gets people in all their weakness and strength.
When I watched The Piano I was hopelessly infatuated with someone. I think that influenced me somewhat. Saw it on the big screen too, which was fantastic.
How are you, Jen?
