OT: Granddaughter!
Hello friends,
My RAD had a healthy baby girl at 5 a.m. this morning!
Both are doing well, and so is the dad. Tired, though. My RAD still has an adrenaline rush but he fell asleep standing up after a long night of helping her in labor! The baby was full term and they will be in the hospital for a few days to watch the newborn for signs of WD since my RAD is on methadone. Everyone there has been kind and helpful--nice to be in a stigma-free environment.
Things have been really great these past few months for all of us--time and personal work really can heal the pain and sorrow addiction brings. It feels so good to just be happy about everything right now. I am grateful for this day.
