Hey Phoebe...have you ever considered getting a part time job or something? Most people meet people through work. I'm not sure if your schedule allows, but something to think about.
I would love to return to my career, but it's been 16 years as a SAH mom and caregiver for elders after that. Not sure anyone would have me and it is typically physical and I have a chronic back problem. I guess I may need to just go for some other part time job. I keep hoping I can get strong and get back to being a PT part time. I do keep my license current.
