For me my first requirement to stay sober is being honest with Myself about my drinking and accept the fact that I cannot drink in safety.
I don’t like the word alcoholic so I just kept telling myself “I can’t drink alcohol in safety.”
Fortunately that was a lot of years ago but it’s still a fact today. Sobriety is my # 1 priority each day and it’s wonderful.
It’s the first drink that gets us.
