Yep, the typical knockout rose variety that seems to tolerate the southern heat/humidity. I've also had good luck with the drift rose. It comes in red and doesn't get too big. Planted densely it may give you what you want. You'll have to prune them back each February. We've got 'peach drift'. They're a little past peak but still attractive. Kind of like me...haha!
