I did the same & listed pro's & con's of continuing drinking & taking drugs versus pro's & con's of total abstinence from both.
Guess what the pro's for abstinence massively outweighed the carrying on, & it was clear it was a no brainer.
I've kept the lists to check back to / add to as well.
