my gutters is a flooded
nest you dang pigeons
i know it's raining
when the gutter overflows
and big drops splash down
sometimes i find dead
baby pigeons and cracked eggs
amidst soggy straw
they're just rats with wings
but they were living things once
but i'm not mourning
if they were starlings
i'd kill them with my bare hands
