That is really cool! So interesting.
I am in Florida and in my front yard we have a small palm tree. Someone told me it is called a Christmas palm but I've never looked it up to verify. All year round it has a cluster of green berries hanging from it but in the month of December they turn red. Then turn back to green again but I haven't noticed exactly when. You can always count on them being red on Christmas though. Neat!

P.S. Just found it online. Our berries aren't down so low though. They are right under the bottom palm fronds.
