my dad was the one who showed me the robin redbreast as his mother did before for him...also flowers..poppies and lupine, roses and iris...he liked gladioli although that flower didn't stick with me...the easter lillies and poinsetta that he put around liberally for the appropriate holidays also made me understand that there is so much in nature to brighten our lives...in the wild...as with poppies and lupine who are, according to your point of view...wildflowers or weeks.

each spring...the pulse of life quickens as it emerges from the hibernation or growth without visibility of winter. we do the same.
