Positive Energy Techniques?

I'm dealing with a personal issue that is settled, but I still feel some emotional pain from it. I don't really want to bring it up, and its just something at this point "I need to let go". Each day I feel a little bit better.

However, I do feel sadness/pain and I know it will improve in time. However, I have a job interview later this week. I feel well-prepared for interview but I am worried about my negative mood. I am normally a positive person, but since I am working through my pain its hard to be enthusiastic. This afternoon I ordered a coffee and the cashier was extremely cheerful and I could tell that it was difficult for me to reciprocate the positive vibe.

I am wondering if anyone has any good techniques or recommended readings that help lift you when you are not feeling in the best mood.
