No you wouldn't. You THINK you would, but it would also be perfectly acceptable to go someplace else besides the pub to meet. If someone asks you why, all you have to say is "because I though it would be nice to go somewhere besides the pub for a change"
Think of it this way.....if going to the pub was really not going to be a problem for you, why would you come here and post about it in the first place? You'd just go and do it and it would be over with.
I really fought hard to try and hang out in the same old places I had after I got sober, but I realized very quickly that even though I COULD hang out there and not drink, it was not any fun. I've since found a lot better things to do - both on my own and with my family.
