You guys are right. Leaving a sober recovery site to get sober makes no sense. I think it's partially pride that made me say what I said. It's also partially to respect others' who have managed to stay sober for a while. I managed to stay sober for a number of months last year and that counts. It's also a habit for me to withdraw when I'm hurting or struggling with something and come out when I'm doing better. Maybe i should do what others have done and post more often, not less.
