this story reminded me of a friend (a GF that I met years ago at my first stint in local detox) - she is a chronic relapser, a very bad one too. When she falls, she falls hard.
A few months ago - I get a random text from her (after a few mths of very limited contact - a text here n there) saying she has pancreatic cancer. (She is blind in one eye from a bad bout of pancreatitis years ago)....I rushed to her apt. to see her after work, I was devastated. Found her totally hammered. She proceeds to tell me she has cancer, her twin is going to donate a kidney, her gramma passed AND she is pregnant.
I found out about 30min later when the BF showed up - none of it was true.
yah. unreal.
