Well. Up until now I didn't quite realise the extent of how low he would go but it's here. I got in from work looking forward to a relaxing 4hours before his shift at the pub finished but he came in not long after me in a wild teary state saying his (estranged) stepmum had called him n said his Dad (even more estranged and hated for yrs of apparent abuse as a chIld) had died this morning!
He was also carrying a juice bottle with remnants of strong vodka n coke. He got all emotional I comforted. He called his mum(divorced and remarried)and told her n then called his brother, who promptly called me n asked me what the he'll was going on. I said I had no clue n would wait til he was sober to find out. Discussion about his drinking followed with brother.
Brother called_ me back said just spoken to dad he's alive n well. Livid all round.
He denied being drunk n I walked out with dog
