Della - I have court on Monday. This is my 3rd DUI - but my first one was so long ago that when I got my second in August 2012 the first one no longer counted - so the second one became a first legally. So now I'm facing number two in a little over 2 years. I hired a lawyer this time - I just hope to get some of the penalties reduced. I impressed the assessor today with my commitment and sincerity - it was a breeze. He won't be recommending inpatient treatment, as he believes outpatient and AA are enough for me. He said he can always tell when someone truly feels humbled and grateful for being sober. It was actually a nice conversation. My court appearance Monday is just to enter a plea. I'm still nervous.
