Day 8 today. Had a colonoscopy at 9 AM (all clear, colon that is) and I told the nurse that i "didn't drink anymore". I felt like I was lying to her, but I was REALLY lying to every other healthcare provider in the past when I would say "Yes, but moderately".
Yesterday, no one in my family said that they had even noticed that I had stopped drinking. I guess I was quite functional. I'm sure my wife noticed that I came right home after work tho.
