Week 1 Down and Feeling the "Glow"
Well, as the title suggests, I have made it 1 week sober. As the initial withdrawals faded, I felt that familiar "glow" that comes (to me) with early sobriety. It is as if the dark clouds are lifting and I feel that I get to look forward to life again, rather than not care if I live or die. Something about this time feels different for me - more committed than ever before, have a solid plan in place, am at a time in life where sobriety is more "feasible," etc. I'm ready to be one of the successful veterans here - my time to beat this has finally come.
