A lot of people struggle with the thought of never drinking again. It helps me to take it one day at a time for now and I don't think about forever. At AA they tell you, one day at a time, in a row.

Saying that, if you can accept at some point that alcohol is not an option, it makes things a whole lot simpler.

It's early days for you yet, things will get easier.
