Thanksgiving -- We here have a lot to be grateful for
Yes, it is the day of Thanksgiving.
We here on site have a lot to be grateful for.
Such as;
Most of us here are sober today.
Most of us here will enjoy a nice meal today with family and friends.
Most of us here enjoy homes with electricity and water.
Let us not forget today the one's around the world that are suffering.
It is too easy for us to forget that for some in this world
wars are going on and many die each day.
Little ones and grownups dying for lack of food and clean drinking water.
If we are ones who pray (most here I would think)
Let us remember the ones who suffer today.
The ones who are not as fortunate as us.
And oh yes, let us not forget the ones who still suffer with addictions.
For I remember a Thanksgiving when I was so drunk and loaded,
I stayed in bed most of the day,
and did not make it to my parent's home for this special meal.
