I tried for decades to control the amounts I drank. I didn't want to have to let go of it - it had once been fun, and a way to escape. I hated to have to admit I no longer knew what would happen once I took that first sip. My life turned into a nightmare because I refused to acknowledge that I was completely dependent on it.
