Thank you for the post. I've often thought about the money aspect. When I got out of rehab I decided not to play the lottery because on the million to one chance that I might actually win I didn't trust that I would ever stay sober if I suddenly had pots of money.
Staying sober and comfortable but not rich is by far the better gift.
