My integrative doctor did some genetic testing and found I had a mutation that is found in addicts at higher rates than the general pop.(FTHMR gene) It affects our bodies ability to synthesize folate. I am not expecting a magic bullet in my lifetime but I do hope that future generations will continue to benefit from advances in this field.
