Boy, you're a tough one. I don't know that I would have been able to get to the clarity and peace you have if I had been forced to live next door to my ex. Good work, friend!
And of course it's going to take time. And again, it's a whole darn lot easier to detach from and recover from a person/relationship that isn't there right in your face poking you all the time. I hope he keeps traveling and that you keep getting those pockets of peace, and that you can more and more stretch them into the time he's around, too.
