Welcome to SoberRecovery Tekhip!
One of the reasons I keep coming back here is to see the parallels.
Kind of my silly way of making sense of what I went through before I found recovery.
I was a serious and enthusiastic druggie for a long time. Sampled and abused most everything I could get my hands on.
Had a revelation of sorts in '90.
Do more cocaine and explode my heart, or stop and live.
So I quit. Cold turkey, alone, no recovery program, no counseling.

What's a six pack of brewskies gonna do to me...., he asked himself...

Fast forward to '95.
That's when I first entertain the thought I might have a drinking problem.
Onward to 2003.
I'm broken.
I'll leave it up to your imagination to fill in the details of what happened to me, and my family, in that 13 year interval. And whatever outlandish scenario you come up with, odds are it won't be too far from the truth.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
Hang on to that with both hands and all your heart.
You don't have to drink anymore.
Glad you're here.
