I take an antidepressant to help the chemical imbalance in my brain. Depression nearly killed me, literally. I am grateful beyond words to be able to take medication that levels the playing field for me. I have taken it for years and have no problems and will likely continue to take it forever. That's okay by me. And, I think it's typical to not be able to go cold turkey off antidepressants. I hope you talk to your dr.
