Grateful for the huge national event held in my little town this weekend. Although it is hugely loud and inconvenient event, it brings more than twice as many visitors in to the town as there are residents, and is very good for all the small businesses in the town.

Grateful, as odd as it sounds, that I still have a desire to drink at times. After almost 28 months of sobriety, the fact that I still have urges to drink tells me that I indeed am alcohol addicted for life, and that quitting was the absolute right decision. It helps me accept that my condition will be lifelong, and that is a fact that I want in the forefront of my mind to help me stay sober. I am glad my drinking thoughts help me keep denial away. If that makes any sense!!
