Hi Finnie, although I haven't been to AA, I know it helps a lot of people. Like Kris suggested, are you open to exploring other recovery groups? I've read a lot of positive threads on Celebrate Recovery and googled it in the UK
UK Locations. I don't know if there are any meetings near you, but you can read up on it to see if it is something you might want to look into.
Does your home group vary in attendees during the week? Maybe connecting with a group that meets certain days of the week?
