Yes, it has gotten a lot easier with time. I very rarely even think about drinking anymore and our house is pretty much stocked. I think you really need to be ready to stop though, or want sobriety more than drinking. Would I like a drink, sure, but I know the consequences and it's not worth it. Life can sometimes seem more boring but it's a trade off for anxiety and lying.
