I saw a CBT counselor for about 6 months and I think it helped. I specifically wanted a non-addiction counselor because I wanted help with my sober brain. I also think the collective input from this forum is likely more than any individual addictions counselor could hold in one head.
Your mileage may vary, but that was how I did it.
