I'm not sure about all the talk about cross-talking. Is that when someone interrupts or changes the topic of discussion?
Anyway, I love AA meetings because they are keeping me sober. It's almost like walking into a church--you feel this aura of peace around you. I don't know if anyone else notices it, but as soon as I walk into a meeting, I almost instantly feel better. It also feels good to be understood and to relate to every person in that room, without necessarily knowing them personally. Every lead I hear, I can identify with some part of their story. And discussion meetings are my favorite. I learn so much. I could never get sober on my own, and I tried. AA finally helped me stay sober for longer than a few days at a time. Three cheers for AA!
