Dear High Wire girl, your post is so raw and so truthful. As an adult child of alcoholics AND a former addict AND I drink too much now, I saw how my interactions with my parents (both dead way too soon from excesses) in my younger days is also affecting my children. Thank you for sharing. I feel that my daughter is using food to escape as we have been dealing with my AS for the last 4 years. She has been neglected due to "higher priorities" in me trying to save my son. I will keep this post close to my heart to realize she sees all and it all affects her
