Well, one thing I can say that my mom actually did right was - she never forced me to finish food. If I was full at dinner, she let it go. If I wanted a twinkie later, she didn't act like it was a huge deal.
These days, I sometimes forget to eat. I look at eating as energy, nothing more. I was so turned off to my mom's constant battle with weight, I went the opposite direction.
