Even though they are held at churches, they are still suppose to be neutral and not religious. The AA program does refer to "higher power", but that can be whatever you consider a higher power to be. Don't let where the meeting is held keep you from giving it a try. I've been to ones at churches and ones that weren't. They were all very similar.
