Carnival season was always one of my favorite times of the year, until I came of age. It was never as much fun after I was old enough for the darker twist. Well, even (esp?) sober, it is fun to catch the beads and I LOVE the marching bands, and tellng the tourists that mardi gras is great for the kids. They never believe until they see it.
