First post - a thank you
Hello! I'm a 24 year old alcoholic from the west of Scotland, and this is my first post.
Although I only became a member today, I have been reading the forums on and off for a number of months and it has already been a tremendous help to me. I have almost 3 months of sobriety and my life has already improved a lot in that time. Mentally and physically I feel I am getting better all the time. Of course, that's not to say I don't struggle and have bad days. I get cravings like everyone else.
I can't understate the importance SR has played. Other than my own genuine desire to stop the insanity of my drinking, reading these forums has been the main force in maintaining my sobriety. You all may very well have saved my life.
I'm looking forward to posting with you all, and hopefully helping out some other poor bastards going through this. Thank you!
