I'm one year sober today and I couldn't be more proud!
The physical benefits have been huge and extremely motivating but they pale into insignificance compared with the psychological ones. For the first time in my life (and I am not exactly young!) I
like myself. I laugh much more easily and genuinely and I see wonder in nature and love all around me.
And I'm grateful, too. So very grateful to my partner and my family and my friends who have all supported me. And grateful to my SR family for sharing so much and teaching me so much - and scaring me rigid about kindling
I am proud of all of you, too!
And my eyes are sparkling almost as much as the lovely new earrings I bought myself to celebrate this achievement
