Here signing in for another 24 hours. I was just looking in the mirror tonight thinking how much younger I look now that I quit drinking. I had a wave of thankfulness wash over me. My teeth look whiter, too. I guess that's what happens when you actually brush your teeth twice a day!
Denial really is an ugly beast. I'm amazed that I let myself go like I did, looked myself in the mirror and told myself everything was fine. I'm so thankful to have finally snapped out of that and am able to look back on it and recognize it as the denial it was.
