I've worked the steps quickly, within 2 days, for relief. Similar to Back to Basics. Like the oldtimer's did. I did work the 4th step as stated in the big book. That was on days 14 & 15.
I haven't had a craving, obsession, nor desire to drink or use since day 16.
Fearless and thorough the first time through the steps, as best as possible. I did work those steps 3 more times by 18 months of sobriety.
Those steps work if you work them into your life.
