In active addiction I became conditioned to instant gratification. Like the drugs I was taking, everything had to happen NOW or I became very irritable. Now In sober life, I develop patience so I can easily endure waiting for something I may need. It is progress not perfection, it is learning new behaviors to practice and that takes time, have patience with yourself.
