A tiny little cold makes me awfully ill, just another case of my self medicating to deal with it. The pain meds really do help me cope with my drinking urges, without them I am sure I'd just be back in a bottle about now.
Just my opinion but you probably shouldnt be taking pain pills as a coping mechanism. Your an alcoholic? Your an addict. Your just trading one substance for another. I'm an addict too. There are way better coping mechanisms. Good luck.
