I think any decisions that help you stay sober are impressive... including the decision to stay put. I was a hermit for many months. Now I go anywhere, and don't give booze a second thought.... but it took time, and I don't regret a minute of the time I spent playing it safe. If you're not drinking, you're kicking butt!
