I struggle more on the weekends too. I'm certain it's because I don't have work distractions and even when I'm doing chores around the house I'm in my own head. Lately I've been listening to my iPod when I'm working in the yard...keeps my mind occupied a bit more. I'm sure your wife will be thrilled to go to dinner and a movie!
