I've been visiting Sober Recovery for just under a month now.
I discovered these forums after a particularly damaging weekend bender (that included Monday and Tuesday of course) with alcohol (my drug of choice, tracing back to my parents parents and their parents parents - it skipped my own).
I've found it incredible how many people match my thoughts/fears/anxieties/experiences and I've found it incredibly supportive in my own attempts to sober up.
I have a lot of changes on the horizon - some that I have to live with and some that I have to make. I'm hoping that joining this community will help be a part of the positivity in my attempts to rediscover and secure a better and healthier me.
I'm sure I'll be spending most of my time on the alcoholism boards, but I wanted to check in first.
