I just wanted to pick a day of the week that would be the "easiest" for me to stop, and Monday seems like the best choice as I am tired from the first day back at work anyway, and I don't have too much evening to get through (I only drink in the evenings). Not sure if it makes any sense, but it is something that helped when I quit smoking - to pick the easiest time to start a quit, that is. The AA meeting was interesting - not sure if it's right for me yet as I am fairly shy and reserved, but I will keep going with it as I need to try anything that might help at this point. Maybe it will work for me over the long term?
