Getting in under the wire at 11:59PM in DC. Went to the one year anniversary of the person in my AA home group who gave me a hug and welcomed me both the first and second time I went through those doors. Both times I was scared to death but people like this guy are saints to scared newcomers. They say it only takes one person sometimes to make a stranger feel like family and this was the person at AA who did it for me. So it was awesome to celebrate him.
And awesome also to celebrate all of you, my 24 hour friends and family. You do the same for me each and every day.
