My Brother had a seizure at work. He did not go "Cold Turkey", his body was used to a certain amount of alcohol in his system. I noticed when I came in to work that he was a little off, but was not aware of withdrawl symptons at that time.
It was a minor one, but still our work called 911 and he was taken by ambulance to hospital and I followed. He was dismissed later after doctors checked him.
Later that night, he had a full Grand Mal seizure and winded up in hospital for a week. I will never forget being in a hallway with him sedated (no private rooms available) and scared with his every single movement. He was later moved to a private room.
It took a while for his memory to come back.
So sad for you my friend and I hope this resonates with people who try to go "Cold Turkey" on their own.
