Your post brings to light a subject that's not discussed enough IMO. I had absolutely no clue about withdrawing from heavy alcohol use, so much so that I had 3 (yes THREE) withdrawl seizures on separate occasions. The doctor said this was extremely dangerous and I could have died. I went to detox the last time, thank goodness, and it was much better on my system and it helped my recovery get off to a good start.
