I'm with Anna - if you feel it's silly and a waste of time, and your contributions are not heard, then have the courage of your convictions and say so...or at least bow out.
If, on the other hand, you just might be a bit irritable cos you're feeling a little sorry for yourself and
everything is stupid right now, then you need to work that out too
