My dad was diagnosed with lung cancer and had half of a lung removed. The cancer never came back, but he often told me that every time he had a pain or weird feeling anywhere he was worried that "the Big C" had come back. I can understand your anxiety- cancer is scary. Mom just had surgery for colon cancer and although it appears to be all gone it's an experience that leaves you rattled.

My birthday is next week, the big 4-4. I'm at that age where I need to start thinking about my health and being more proactive. I've been lucky to have been really healthy all my life, and the last time I was in the hospital was when I was 4 years old (ate a bottle of aspirin back in the day when they made them flavored like candy). Again, lucky but a mixed bag; my luck has made me neglect the routine stuff.

I wish you well, wpainterw! I hope it's nothing, and barring that I hope they get you fixed up. Life sober is too good to cut short!
